She was an associate in Jonesboro, Louisiana.  Practicing in Personal Injury, Family Law and Debt Collections. 

She spent this time working in the Criminal Law Clinic at Southern University Law Center under Professor Donald North as a criminal defense attorney. 

She started as a law clerk for Sheri Morris, general council for the Secretary of State, Fox McKeithen.
